When Ryu-Yeon was just 10 years old, he sadly lost his father to an illness. Despite this loss, Ryu-Yeon had learned a valuable skill from his father: wood carving. He could intricately sculpt wood to create beautiful pieces of art.
One day, after finishing the sculptures of his parents, Ryu-Yeon caught the attention of an elderly man who was impressed by his work. Seeing potential in Ryu-Yeon, the old man offered to take him as his apprentice. With no other prospects and a desire to make the best of his life, Ryu-Yeon agreed to the old man's offer.
